The Story of UTC – How It Started, and Where It’s Headed

UTC has been part of the UK’s live music scene for over 15 years, originally set up to give people something different — something more curated, more reliable, and frankly, more exciting than the usual function band circuit.

I took over the reins last year, after years of performing for over a decade with our flagship act, Under the Covers. I’d been working closely with the team, stepping into the event planning side more and more, and it just made sense to take UTC into its next chapter.

Since then, we’ve expanded our roster, rebranded the business, and started working with some amazing venues and clients across the country — including multi-night residencies, corporate launches, and headline wedding bookings. We’ve also built strong partnerships with venues like Royal Armouries Leeds, Manchester Hall, and Emirates Old Trafford, to name a few.

The goal moving forward is simple: keep raising the bar. That means new acts, smarter tech, more creative event concepts, and an even bigger focus on high-end service. Whether it's a rooftop party in the city or a countryside wedding with strings and a DJ, we want UTC to be the first name people think of when they’re planning something unforgettable.
